LuckyStones

LuckyStones is a top down knit pullover, or a steeked cardigan with buttons or a zipper. Starting with a ribbed collar, the yoke is knit with the colour work chart, with indicated increases. The garment is then divided into body and sleeves and knit to ribbing in Main Colour.

Measurements on the size chart are finished garment. Measure to ensure the best size. The length on sleeves and body may need adjustment as desired.

I was in Gimli, Manitoba, Canada once again, love this place, and went for a visit to a farm close by named Luckystone Acres and they are breeding Icelandic Sheep and using all the sheep gives you, the wool and the meat, like we do and have done for centuries here in Iceland. I thought it was very important for them to get their own Lopapeysa pattern. I walked around the farm, met the sheep, and took some photos and this is the result for the sweater, a little bit of everything I saw there. In the pattern are the Luckystones, the sheep and rams in the barn, which I loved the shape of. I hope this pattern will make you warm and happy, and that you enjoy knitting my vision of the farm and the lovely young couple who are starting their lives there.

Yarn: Lucky stone Acres wool, 100 gr, 200 m / 3.5 oz, 100% wool from Icelandic sheep bred in Manitoba Canada.

Women:
Main Colour: Dark brown 350 (400) 400 (450) 450 g.
Contrast Colour 1: 100 (100) 100 (150) 150 g.
Contrast Colour 2: 100 (100) 100 (100) 100 g.

Men:
Main Colour: Dark brown 400 (400) 400 (450) 450 (500) g.
Contrast Colour 1: 100 (100) 100 (150) 150 (200) g.
Contrast Colour 2: 100 (100) 100 (100) 100 (100) g.

It is possible to just use one contrast color, then you buy more of CC 1.

Needles: Circular needles 60 cm / [24 in] and 100 cm / [40 in], 4 mm [US 6], 4.5 mm [US 7]. 5 mm [US 8], to use in the pattern. Use the same needle sizes for your preferred method to work the smaller circumferences of sleeves.
Crochet hook for cardigan size 4.00 mm

Gauge: 16 sts x 24 rnd = 10 cm/ 4 in square in stockinette stitch on needles 4.5 mm [US 7].

Notions: 6 stitch markers, tapestry needle, (8-10 (2 cm / [0.75“]) buttons or zipper, for cardigan).
