Stranded colourwork with two Latvian braids. The pattern is irregular and changes every round; the number in the last square of each row tells you how many stitches to knit in the same colour. Long floats occur only in a few places, and they can be caught every third stitch at the back. Keep the contrast colour closest to you.
I am a huge nature lover and find everything created without our involvement so wonderful. The northern lights and volcanic eruptions are among the most spectacular shows nature has to offer. Since my volcano pattern already existed, it was time for a pattern that tries to capture the beautiful, colourful and ever-changing movements in the sky that are so typical of Iceland. This was the first time I started by dyeing the yarn, and the pattern followed once I had found the colour I felt was perfect for the northern lights. Now I am catching up with myself in designing and dyeing – or dyeing and designing 😊.
Clear instructions with links to tutorial videos are included. Needles are not included. The yarn is 85% merino wool / 15% nylon and wonderful to knit with.
