Introducing my first sweater gift kit!
The kit contains a Náttúruprjón pattern and Einrúm yarn – merino lambswool with mulberry silk – plus 3 colours of mohair with a soft sheen, and as the finishing touch a gold, silver or copper thread to match the colours you choose. The sweater is framed with an I-cord edge at the neck, sleeves and body in all 3 mohair colours. It has side slits and is slightly longer at the back than at the front.
The sweater is very flattering, with a lovely fit, delicate and elegant. The kits are available in 3 colourways to begin with.
The yarn used in the pattern is Einrúm Lamb 2, Onion Mohair in 3 colours, and gold, silver or copper thread for a little sparkle :-).
As I have added more sizes to the pattern, there are two English versions: one in centimetres and one in inches.
The kits are sold in 4 sizes:
Size 34–40: 175 g Lamb 2, 3 × 7.3 g mohair and 4 g gold, silver or copper thread.
Size 42–46: 225 g Lamb 2, 3 × 8.3 g mohair and 5 g gold, silver or copper thread.
Size 48–52: 275 g Lamb 2, 3 × 9.2 g mohair and 7 g gold, silver or copper thread.
Size 54–58: 325 g Lamb 2, 3 × 10.1 g mohair and 9 g gold, silver or copper thread.
As the pattern assumes ¾-length sleeves and a body that isn’t very long, there should be enough yarn to shape the sweater to your own liking – and not everyone is as petite as me.
Not included:
Circular needles 3 mm [US 2.5], 3.5 mm [US 4] and 4 mm [US 6], 60 cm [24 in] and 80 cm [32 in].
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends, and stitch markers.
