Móberg - women's pullover
Móberg - women's pullover
The idea of Móberg came when I started a scarf, which I gave up on knitting and suddenly I had started on a sweater, just grabbed some yarn from my stash and kept on going. I was so excited with the idea of the sweater that I didn‘t figure out the neckline, until later on, when I decided to have it as an I-cord in all three colours of the Mohair. When the yoke was complete and I started the body and saw how beautiful it would look. My daughter choose the name, it is a volcanic common rock in Iceland, called „tuff“ in English, before she gave it a name I called it ‚the sweater scarf‘.😉
Móberg is a pullover knit from the top down. Starting after the collar with a provisional cast on The yoke is knit with the colour work chart, with increases before and after the colourwork. The garment is then divided into body and sleeves and knit down and the body finishes with a 3 colour I-cord with a curved edge. I think it is a beautiful way to frame in the sweater with the multi colour I-cord. I prefered to have the sleeves ¾ of the length but you may prefer longer as long if you decide. If you choose longer sleeves, ensure you have allowed this is your wool purchase.
