Maríutása = mare’s tails, a type of cloud
This is one of my very first patterns, and I think the names of my first patterns describe me well: a daydreamer who looks up at the clouds and lets her mind wander. My first patterns were all named after types of clouds.
Traditional stranded colourwork mittens with a simple ribbing. The pattern is regular and easy. Long floats occur only in a few places, and they can be caught every third stitch at the back.
This is the only pattern of mine where I let the knitter choose which way the motif faces: pointing up, opening like a cup, or turned on its side :-).
