Yarn Dyeing Workshop

Would you like to dye your own yarn? In this workshop you learn to dye yarn from scratch, in a calm and cosy setting at the Náttúruprjón studio in Hafnarfjörður.

We go through the basics of dyeing, how colours blend together and how to create different effects. You dye 2 skeins, which you take home afterwards. Once rinsed and dried, they are ready for your next knitting project.

Want to dye more? You can upgrade to the larger workshop with 3 skeins (22,500 ISK) when you arrive.

Duration: 3 hours

Location: Skútahraun 17c, Hafnarfjörður

Group size: Maximum 6 participants, so everyone gets proper guidance.

Coming as a group? Sewing circles, groups of friends and women's associations can book their own dyeing evening.

Please bring: An apron, clothes you don't mind getting dye on, a waterproof plastic bag or bucket to carry the wet yarn home, and some knitting to pass the time while the dye sets.

No previous experience needed. The workshop is taught in Icelandic and English.
