This is one of those pattern that came about when I was drawing something in the air, usually the mittens come first, but then then hat follows.
Traditional two-band hat and/or mitten knit with Latvian braid and simple ribbing. The pattern is regular. Long bands (carried yarn) are formed only in a few places, which can be fastened in every third loop behind.
Full instructions and links to explanatory videos are included, needles are not included. The yarn is 85% merino wool / 15% nylon, wonderful to knit with.
