I have now created my first afghans pattern, and I am absolutely amazed at how beautiful it is.
This pattern is really fun to knit. You start in the middle and increase evenly to form a square. The squares are then sewn together and finally you knit I-cord edge around the blanket to finish it off.
The size of the blanket depends on the yarn you use and of course how big you want it to be. This blanket uses fingering yarn, needles mm 3.5 and each square is 25*25 cm (4*4 Inches).
I have an awful lot of leftovers yarn and wanted to use them for something fun. When I looked at the leftovers, orange, gray, blue, and black were the dominant colours in the pile, and it was easiest to pick up the Glóð hat and mitten pattern to change it for squears.
I would like to point out the instructional videos that are on the Natturuprjons YouTube channel.
