Hvað er ég búin að vera að gera og hvað er ég að fara að gera

What have I been doing and what am I going to do?

Welcome.

I came from Switzerland in early April, smiling all the way around. It was incredibly fun to be a vendor at the Swiss Yarn Festival, I'll see if I apply again next year. There were about 75 vendors, lots of classes, knitting corners, nice weather and chairs outside so you could knit in the sun, a very pleasant environment where you could take a walk or just do something to please your stomach.

The whole environment around this was extremely good and I met some nice sisters from Þingborg there, who were giving courses and also met more Icelanders and also some who want to become Icelanders (move to Iceland), I actually think it has something to do with the Icelandic horse 😊 . This festival is 17 km from Zurich so it is not complicated to get there, good transportation and then the organizers take care of transporting people from the train station to the festival area.

Next on my agenda is to be at Rokku Fjarðarkaup on Wednesday (1:30-5:00 PM), looking forward to seeing as many people as possible and I plan to have most of my patterns and most of the gift kits. I also plan to show what I have on my knitting needles right now and hope to finish the men's cardigan Skrúð for Prjónagleðina in Blöndós, but I'm still not sure if I'll be able to finish the pattern but it should come soon.

In early August I will go to Gimli once again and I always look forward to going there more and more the more often I go. I have made very good friends there and it is also nice to see how well these people think of Iceland and are proud to have their roots here. This year the 150th anniversary of Icelanders' Day will be celebrated so there will be more celebrations than usual, so it will be fun. We will also have more vendors from Iceland and will be 4 this year, so it will be a real Icelander atmosphere and apart from all the guests who will come from Iceland, a choir, a national costume society and undoubtedly more guests that I do not know about.

Have a nice evening !
